Big Girl

Pete had a preliminary interview with Ritz today and thought everything went well. Once again it is one of those processes that will take several weeks. We'll just wait and see. I have to keep reminding myself to remain calm and not stress. God has blessed us with a steady income, a roof over our heads and food on the table. All though we are looking for new opportunities, I need to remember there are people who NEED new jobs because they are unemployed.

Today Gen and I were to watch the baby daughter of a friend. Unfortunately, little Elizabeth has an infection and her mom Megan decided to stay home with her this week. Starting next Tuesday we will watch Elizabeth on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons until summer when we will switch to just Thursdays. Hopefully she will be feeling better by next Tuesday.

It should be interesting to see how Gen does with another little one around. Lately she has been showing a little jealousy when I work in the church nursery. On Sunday we moved Gen to the two year old room because we thought she was ready. By all acounts all went well. We were happy to go home with a picture she colored.

My sister Linda called to say she has a conflict with the date of Gen's birthday party. Today my sister Donna sent out some photos from Easter and they were the first Linda had seen as she was in Colorado over Easter. She commented that Gen is no longer a baby. On Sunday Gen's cousin Rajah wanted Gen to sit on her lap. We talked about how Gen is no longer a baby and will soon turn two. She asked if Gen would be a big kid when she turns two. From the mouths of babes! Or rather from the mouths of big kids!
